TRUST

"Trust is a two way street" boy have I said this a lot, as an adult I have been in multiple relationships where trust was an issue and when someone takes the trust you have instilled in them and destroys it, it can be devastating. It makes future healthy relationships even harder. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. If you are like me and have been hurt by those that are supposed to love you trusting again can be really hard. The word trust implies confidence and security which I will be honest I lacked for a long time, until I gave it all to God. Trusting in God means you continue to turn to Him, and away from the naysayers. You keep praying, even when those prayers seem to have no effect. You keep saying, like Job did: the Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. You have confidence that His plan for you is happening even when you can't see it. Trusting God is essential to finding peace, strength, contentment and much more in your relationship with God. You can't only trust Him in the good times, you have to trust Him through your hardships as well. In the present moment, we may think we are suffering more than anyone else ever has. This attitude can cloud our vision about God. We are reminded that we can trust God when we look back at all He has done in the past throughtout the Old and New Testaments. With God we can overcome all, we just have to trust Him to bring us through. Psalm 84:11 tells us "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." Remember this when you think God hasn't answered your prayer, he is not going to give you something that isn't good for you. So, trust Him that He knows what's best for you! How can we pray for you today?
