A Pastor once had a man come into his office and say, "I want what my wife has found." The pastor asked, "What do you think it is that she found?" The man replied, I'm not sure, but whatever it is, it sure has changed her disposition." The man's wife had been a difficult, demanding person. She had found it excruciating to give without receiving twice as much in return. Her needs kept the family dynamics constantly in turmoil. She could be extremely unpleasant when things didn't go as she had planned or if her demands weren't met. What had happened? She started attending a church small group in her neighborhood. The women, all members of the same church, opened their hearts to this women. One day at the end of a meeting she stayed to talk with one of the women about her life. Facing the fact of her rotten disposition she prayed, almost as an experiment: "Christ, if You are alive as these people say You are, help me to change." The result of that prayer came slowly but surely. She repeated the prayer each morning, and within just a few months, her husband had not only noticed the difference, but wanted the same!
