SHARE WITH ONE ANOTHER

The mother of three small children, each born only two years apart, often found herself exhausted by the end of the day. Along with the children's father, she had set strict rules that after a story time, one drink of water, and a final trip to the bathroom, each child must go to bed and stay there. One night, after a particurly trying day, all three children were finally tucked into bed. So the two parents headed to the kitchen for some milk and cookies and a little alone time together. They had just started to relax when they suddlenly found themselves surrounded by three little people, all standing in silence as they watched Mom and Dad, Mom asked, "Well, do we relent, or do we stick with the rules?" Before Dad could answer, their three year old daughter piped up, "Stick with the rules, Mom!" Knowing that her daughter didn't really want to be sent back to bed, Mom asked, "And exactly what are those rules, dear?" Her daughter replied without hesitation, "Share with one another."
