We all make mistakes, we all fall behind expectations, whether it is at home, work, with our kids, even with God. When we do it is so hard to pick up and carry on sometimes, we don't think we deserve a second chance, we don't think we are worthy. We are so wrong. Christ died for our mistakes, He died for our sins and that, that is what makes us worthy, and the most amazing part is, all we have to do is ask. Ask God for forgiveness and it's ours. Ask Him for that second chance (or third or fourth or even fifth) because he never gives up on His children.
If God was going to give up on us for being human and making mistakes would he have sacrificed Christ for us? Would he have made a way for us to come back an be a part of His amazing family? The simple answer to that is NO!
Jesus' work on the cross has made it possible for the righteous Judge of the universe to be the God of second chances. No matter how many times you have messed up, God offers you the chance to start again.

REFLECTION:
When I received a second chance, what was my emotional response? How did it make me feel?
PRAYER:
Lord God, I know I fall short every day yet through the power of Jesus' sacrifice and Your forgiveness I have been a second chance. I know when I stumble you are there to catch me and for that I am forever grateful. May I treat others with the same grace and mercy You lavish on me each day. In Jesus name Amen.
ACTION:
Follow the Holy Spirit and extend forgivenss, mercy and a second chance to someone who has wronged you!
