Romans 8:26-28 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us, through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
As a believer we are not left to our own resources to cope with problems. Even when you don't know the right words to pray, the Holy Spriit prays with and for you and God answers. With God helping you pray, you don't need to be afraid to come before him for anything. Ask the Holy Spirit to interecede for you " in accordance with the will of God". Then when you bring your requests to God, trust that he will always do what is best.
God works in all things not just isolated incidents for our good. This does not mean that all that happens to us will be pleasant and we do not have to call pain good. Even though evil pervades our fallen world, God is able to turn every circumstance aroudn for our long range benefit.
REFLECTION:
How many times have you gone to pray and just not had the words? How did you handle that? Did you give to God anyway?
PRAYER:
Father, when I cannot find the words to pray help to remember to depend on you, O Holy Spirit to pray for me, to know what is in my heart and to take it God for me. In Jesus name I pray Amen,
ACTION:
Stay close to God by staying in his word and leaning on him always, he will keep us wrapped in his loving arms if we let him.
