How Great is our God?

One guy shared that one Saturday morning he was on his way to Bible study, and he was praying while driving. This particular morning, he was asking God for His protection. As he approached the corner traffic light, the light turned red; he stopped the car but continued praying. When the light turned green, he took his foot off the brake to push down on the accelerator, but to his surprise, he couldn't seem to find the gas pedal. He even looked down to see where it was. He'd never had to do that before. After "finding" the gas pedal, he looked up just in time to see a man driving an old station wagon--and running the red light. At the speed he was traveling, if he had proceeded thru the intersection when he was trying to, he would have been seriously hurt or killed. Another story: Karen got into her SUV to go down the mountain to choir rehersal, and as she usually does, said a little prayer. She hadn't moved more than five feet in her driveway when she heard a pop. Her front tire was flat, and the vehicle was resting on the rim. She discovered that her front coil suspension spring had snapped and literally harpooned the tire. Her mind went back to the trip she taken down the moutain earlier that day, travelling in torential rain, at about fifty miles per hour. Thank God the spring snapped in her driveway and not when she was driving. One more story by Shirlean: She said my husband, Bill, and I decided to move to Azrizona to get away from the harsh winters of Pennslyvania. We had a large family: his three boys by a previous marriage, and our three girls. We rented a U-Haul trailer, loaded it with our possessions, and hooked it up to our old Dodge pick-up. We had been on the road for three days and made it to just outside of Santa Rosa, New Mexico, when I suddenly had such pain in my abdomen that I asked Bill to pull over at the next rest area. I went into the restroom, but the pains suddenly disappeared as quickly as they had come. When I came back out to get into the truck, Bill was as white as a sheet. I asked him what was wrong. He took me to the driver's side and pointed to the rear wheel. I almost fainted. Three of the five lugnuts on that wheel had some how broken off and only two nuts were still holding the tire on. If we had lost that wheel, the truck would have flipped. It could have been a disaster, killing or severly injuring Bill, me, and all of our children. I knew at that moment that someone was watching over us, very closely, and I will never, ever forget how blessed we were that day. Isn't God good.
