Good morning on this lovely Monday!
I don't know about you but one of the struggles I have at times is not judging myself. There are days where I don't really like what I see when I look in the mirror, I wonder what has happened to me? I struggle because I know I am supposed to love myself, but some days I just don't. Ephesians 5:29 says "For no one has ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares of it, as the Messiah does the church." As I was pondering on this exact thing this past week, it came to me that I should not focus on myself, instead my focus should be on the awesome love that God has for me! so I started digging deeper into my Bible and found a few verses I would like to share with you today. 1 John 4:19 We love because God first loved us and Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love for us even when we were dead because of our offenses, made us alive together with the Messiah. (by grace you have been saved). This helped me because if God can love me and share his grace with me, even with my past mistakes then why am I doubting myself? I know it is human nature, but I am going to focus on God's love this week and dig deeper into this. The definition of grace could be “God's life, power and righteousness given to us by unmerited favor.” It is through grace that God works effective change in our hearts and lives. Grace gives us a new life which is not condemned by God. How can I pray for you today?
