Do you want a bolder, stronger, more confident life in Christ?
Have you been struggling? received bad news? did someone make a hurtful comment that made you feel insecure?
We all have that at some point, I know there have been a few days lately where I just look up and say God, I am so overwhelmed today, why can't I be stronger?
I have good news for you!
Your strength doesn't have to be determind by your circumstances or feelings....the joy of the Lord is your strength!
Have you noticed that our feelings can be fickle sometimes? I sure have!
One day you are on top of the world and the next day you don't even want to get out of bed. This is why our feelings can't be allowed to rule our hearts.
Nehemiah 8:10 says "Be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold"
I ready this today in a devotional I receive and it really hit me hard, I have a lot going on right now and some days are harder than others and I do get overwhelmed and this reminded me that no matter what I have going on, I need to take time each day and talk with God and continuously work on building that relationship. He will see me through if I just let him. If we want his joy we have to change our way of thinking, what we think about has everything to do with the quality of our lives. Joy, health, wholeness, peace, strength, confidence all will come when we change the way we think!
I am so thankful for the AWESOME God we serve and praise him for his mercy, grace and peace!
