Blessing those who hurt you

In today's world it is really easy and often deemed acceptable to tear people down or get back at them if we feel hurt or used. Peter, remembering Jesus' teaching (Matthew 5:39) is encouraging us to turn the other cheek. Yes that can be hard and our human side is going to fight wanting to do that. However when you struggle doing it, Pray if you need help repaying a hurt with a blessing Pray, if you want to tear someone to shreds because they are using your kids as pawns in a divorce, Pray, if someone at work is making you look bad Pray. No matter the situation Pray, bring it to God in Prayer, he's got your back in ways you can only imagine!

In God's kingdom, revenge is unacceptable behavior, as is insulting a person, no matter how indirectly. Rise up above getting even and pray for them. Prayer is our best defense and offense as Christians. God will help us control our tongues and will in turn bless us for not falling down that slippery slope of tit for tat so to speak. (James 3 talks more on controlling your tongue if you want to dig deeper on that topic today)
