Matthew 6:9-10
"Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
Heavenly Father, you are above all, know all, and see all. Yet you hear me as if I were your only creation. You keep me close to your heart when I need it most.
May I not view you as a distant father but as one who has come to earth and understands the challenges and temptations in my life. May I continue to grow closer to you each day and will you be near me today and remind me that you are holding me in your arms as a parent holds a hurting tired child. Help me to rest in your love and remember your promises each day.
My friends and family need you today as well as they make daily difficult decisions and deal with the world. Please be with them and show them you are closer than ever. Provide them with the rest they need as well. Remind them you are the ultimate rest and peace giver and all they need is you not the world.
Father, thank you for taking time to listen to my pleas and being by my side always.
In Jesus' name I pray this. Amen
