OUR PASTOR

Pastor Bruce Sigman and his wife Vicki have been leading the congregation of Grace Community Church since July 4, 2010. Long-time members of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, the Sigmans have been been involved in youth ministries and missions work for years. After a successful career in law enforcement, Pastor Bruce answered God's calling to be a full-time pastor.

Pastor Bruce is a shepherd and he leads his flock faithfully. In addition to preaching every Sunday, Pastor Bruce teaches the adult Sunday School class, and he preaches at London Health and Rehab once a month. His wife Vicki substitute teaches the pre-school Sunday School class, and assists with various other ministries throughout the year.

When given the opportunity to pastor at Grace Community Church, Pastor Bruce and Vicki saw a mission field and have devoted themselves to "Serving God, Serving Others, and Making a Difference."

OUR CHURCH

Grace Community Church is located in South Solon, OH. South Solon is a rural village located along state route 41 in Madison County. Grace Community Church is a member of the Churches of Christ in Christian Union, an evangelical denomination based in Circleville, OH.

The first church was built on N. High Street in 1908. The church was organized in 1909 with twelve members. The church continued to grow and an addition was built in 1924. Following a complete upgrade in 1942, the church remained at the N. High St. location until 1953, when the church moved to Cleveland Street. There, a basement was excavated and block laid. The church building was moved from N. High St. and placed over the new basement on Cleveland St.

In 1974, a new 36' x 80' brick building was erected on E. Main St., directly behind the Cleveland St. property. Named Grace Community Church in 2007, this is the same building in which we worship today.

Over the years, numerous upgrades and updates have been made to the church.
